This has been a year like none other!

This has been a year like none other! One that started with so many opportunities and the promise of growth, unexpectedly derailed by a pandemic. Like many other small businesses, we hit that wall in March as markets closed to ensure the health and safety of consumers, vendors, and the broader community. As we waited for the world to re-open, we all spent anxious moments gathered around our kitchen tables trying to navigate the social, educational, and economic challenges created by the pandemic. Even as markets re-opened cautiously in May we faced mounting supply shortages and rising costs for our ingredients and packaging materials. Who would have expected we would have to wait months for bottle caps!!  However, like the rest of America we preserved and pushed through the tough times. You, our consumers, were the inspiration that kept us going. Your reviews and creativity in using our products were a constant source of motivation. One that comes to mind is your use of our Ginger Spread to make “Sourdough bread”. Likewise, it was wonderful to have consumers tell us that “having a daily meal with our Honey Ginger Dressing kept their tummy healthy”! Your creative spirit even enticed me to use our Garlic Free dressing as a topping for my ice cream and you bet it was darn good! It is your words, your support and faith in us that keeps us going. Thank You!!

We had initially planned to expand our offering this year but given the supply challenges we pulled back to focus on our existing products. We wanted to make sure we always had stock to support your needs. Instead, we chose to focus on strengthening our online store and worked hard to make buying on our website a seamless experience. It was touching to hear you recognize our work. As one of our dear customers wrote to me…

As tough as 2020 was, we are excited to see it end with the availability of vaccines to vanquish this COVID-19 pandemic. We were successful in navigating this year with your support and are energized to continue serving you with our wholesome products to help you stay healthy.
