No-Fuss Turkey Burger

A burger is the definition of low-prep, high-reward, and our Turkey Burger takes this to the next level. Maybe even a couple levels when you consider the low prep time. Simply select your choice of meat, then add our honey ginger dressing! The meats natural flavors will be complemented by the sweet, tangy, and zesty notes in our dressing.

COOK TIME: 15 MIN


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 lb. ground turkey breast

  • 1/2 lb. ground turkey thigh

  • 3 tbsp. Nal’s Kitchen Honey Ginger Dressing

  • 2 tbsp. onions, finely chopped

  • 1 tsp. or to taste coarse salt

  • 1/2 tsp. or to taste pepper, 

  • 2 tsp. oil

  • 4 cheese slices, optional

  • 4 sesame seed burger buns

OPTIONAL TOPPINGS:

  • 1 lb. sliced mushrooms

  • 1 tbsp. oil

  • 3 tbsp. Nal’s Kitchen Honey Ginger Dressing

  • 1/4 tsp. or to taste coarse salt

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat (350°F– 400°F) or cook on a skillet over medium heat.

  2. In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, dressing, onion, salt, and pepper - form mixture into four flat patties - about ½ inch in thickness

  3. Lightly brush the patties on both sides with oil and grill for 6 to 8 minutes on each side, turn once when the center is no longer pink. (If cooking on skillet - preheat skillet with 1 tbsp of oil and cook patties on each side for about 5 minutes)

  4. Add cheese slices on top of patties to melt, do when there is 2 minutes left of grilling time.

  5. Grill buns for 1 minute before assembling the burger.

OPTIONAL TOPPINGS:

  1. Place oil in the pan and heat on high for 1 minute. Add mushrooms, saute until golden brown.

  2. Sprinkle salt, and add dressing, mix well. 

  3. Assemble the burger with sauteed mushrooms.
